NETANYAHU ISSUES FOUR DEMANDS FOR AN AGREEMENT, UNDERMINING NEGOTIATIONS

The occupation media is reporting that Zionist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has announced a set of four demands that must be met before any agreement with the Hamas resistance movement can take place for a ceasefire and hostage exchange deal, directly undermining negotiations even as Hamas has finally relented on its position that the Israeli entity must agree to withdraw all troops from the Gaza Strip, and agree to a permanent cessation of hostilities.

The first among the Prime Minister's demands declares that any proposal must "allow for Israel to return and fight until all the goals of the war [genocide] are achieved."

Secondly, any potential deal must not allow for the smuggling of weapons from Egypt into Gaza," and thirdly, it also mustn't allow for "the return of thousands of armed terrorists to the north of the Gaza Strip."

The final demand states that the Zionist entity "will maximize the number of live abductees that are released from Hamas captivity."

The statement ends by delcaring, "The plan that has been agreed to by Israel and which has been welcomed by President Biden will allow Israel to return hostages without infringing on the other objectives of the war," and thoroughly undermining the potential for his negotiating team to make concessions.

The Israeli security establishment and mediators were furious with Netanyahu's statements. Anonymous officials quickly lined up to occupation media outlets to vent their anger, with one official stating to Israeli Channel-12 that "Netanyahu pretends that he wants a deal, but is working to torpedo it."

“He’s dragging out the process, trying to stretch time until his speech in Congress [on July 24] and then the [Knesset] recess," the official continued, adding that there was "no enthusiasm or drive" on the part of the Prime Minister to get a deal worked out for the hostage's freedom, showing no urgency in the task, but are instead built on "smears and radicalized positions."

Another source raised doubts about Netanyahu's seeming desire to "emphasize the gaps," in negotiations "just before the departure of the delegation" to come to an agreement.

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid also questioned Netanyahu's intentions, slamming the Prime Minister by saying "I have one response to the announcement from the Prime Minister’s Office: What is it good for? We are at a critical moment in the negotiations, the lives of the hostages depend on it; why issue such provocative messages?” Lapid asked of the Prime Minister, “How does it contribute to the process?”

Israeli Environmental Terrorism in Gaza!!!

Israel’s war on Gaza has created an unprecedented environmental crisis in the enclave destroying sanitation systems, leaving tonnes of debris from explosive devices and causing major pollution, the United Nations said on Tuesday in a new report on the environmental impact of the war.

The report found that explosive weapons used in the war have generated around 39 million tonnes of debris, with every square metre of Gaza littered with more than 107kg of debris on average.

It also found that water, sanitation and hygiene systems in Gaza are almost entirely defunct, with the strip’s five wastewater treatment plants shut down. “All of this is deeply harming people’s health, food security and Gaza’s resilience,” said UN Environmental Programme (Unep) Executive Director Inger Andersen.

Israel’s war is exacerbating an already deteriorating environment in Gaza, where over 92 percent of water was deemed unfit for human consumption in 2020. Israel has also targeted the small environmental gains Gaza had made in its attacks on the area’s solar panels. Gaza had one of the highest densities of rooftop solar panels in the world, but Israeli forces have destroyed a large swathe of its solar infrastructure.

“It is my opinion that large areas of Gaza will not be recovered to a safe state within a generation, even with limitless finance and will,” Eoghan Darbyshire, a senior researcher at the UK-based nonprofit Conflict and Environment Observatory, told Reuters.

The UN report came as a result of a request from the Palestinian Environment Quality Authority in December, in which it called on Unep to look into environmental damages in Gaza. Climate change and Israel’s attacks on environmental infrastructure have long plagued Gaza and other parts of occupied Palestine.

SIX DRUMS FILLED WITH TOXIC CHEMICALS DEPOSITED BY NORTHROP GRUMMAN FOUND BURIED IN CANCER-PLAGUED LONG ISLAND TOWN

📹 Six 55-gallon drums filled with toxic chemicals, and encased in concrete coffins, some broken, were found buried under Bethpage Community Park in cancer-plagued Bethpage, a town on Long Island in New York State, which was deposited by U.S. military contractor Northrop Grumman.

Previously, the town of Bethpage had to contend with a 6-square mile toxic plume of hazardous waste resulting from Northrop Grumman's dumping of chemicals underground in the area.

At least one of the 55-gallon drums was found punctured, and some contained flammable chemicals.

The drums were found buried just 4-feet underground, underneath the Park's baseball field which was previously abandoned more than 20 years ago due to concerns over soil contamination.

According to a report in New York Post, a layer of clay was found under the drums, where authorities believe chemicals could have seeped into the ground.

Oyster Bay Supervisor, Joseph Saladino, called on authorities with New York's Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to clean up the park by collecting all the contaminated soil and removing it from Long Island. The community's tax payers previously paid $20 million to clean up the site to allow local residents to use the Park's skating rink.

Saladino also filed a lawsuit against Northrup Grumman 10 years ago to reimburse the community's costs for the cleanup, while a new lawsuit was filed in December to order the further cleanup and removal of the toxic soil.

Local residents have been complaining of higher cancer rates in their community for years, arguing that surrounding communities have far lower rates to their own, while the DEC claimed the discovery posed "no immediate threat to public health."

Still, local residents say they're fed-up, continueing to call for the immediate removal of toxic substances, along with demands for a full soil excavation in the park.

“I’ve had it. I’ve had it. I’ve been working on this for over 20 years as a New York state Assembly member and now as the supervisor of the fourth-largest town in America and I’m not going to sit by idly,” Saladino is quoted as saying.

Northrop Grumman, for its part, said it continues to work with the DEC to address the situation.

In two legal briefs filed on Friday, Israel says it is challenging both the legality of the International Criminal Court’s request for arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as the court's jurisdiction.  In May, the court’s prosecutor, Karim Khan, announced he is seeking arrest warrants for the two Israeli officials as well as three members of Hamas leadership: Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and Ismail Haniyeh.

the thing is that whats happening is really scary. not because everything is going to fall apart - he may do far less damage than we fear.

but because this outcome has people afraid for their lives and uncertain if they want to live. democracy should never leave such a large proportion of people fearful.

yes, there will always be people upset about the outcome of an election - usually around half. but there should never be people interested in harming others or constructing conspiracy theories, and absolutely never people interested in harming themselves.

American politics, radicalism and individualism has gone too far and its dangerous.
